How every service begins
Every watch that comes to Ratana is logged, assessed under magnification, and given a written condition report before any service begins. That report is shared with you, and work proceeds only once you've reviewed it. If the assessment reveals the watch needs something beyond the original tier, we discuss that clearly — including cost and timing — before adjusting scope.
Service 01
Service Inspection & Clean
A clear inspection followed by a light service: cleaning of accessible parts, gentle lubrication, timing adjustment, and a seal review. Everything found is noted plainly so you can decide on any further work with full understanding. A sensible first step for a watch returning to wear; about one to two weeks.
Service 02
Full Mechanical Service
A complete service for mechanical watches that have lost steady timekeeping. The movement is cleaned and re-oiled, the balance and mainspring reviewed and renewed where needed, and timing regulated across positions. Seals are renewed and the crown checked. Suited to daily-wear watches; around three weeks.
Service 03
Collector's Restoration
A considered restoration for valued or vintage watches. Beyond a complete overhaul, we attend to the case finish, hands, and crystal, and coordinate any specialist dial work with care to keep the watch true to its era. Each decision is made together with you, and progress is documented. Five to eight weeks.

Our Standards
What applies to every service
Secure custody
Watches are logged on arrival and stored in a locked cabinet when not on the bench. We carry insurance for pieces in our care.
Timing machine verification
Every serviced movement is tested on a timing machine before the watch is closed. Results are recorded and included in your service report.
Correct lubrication
We use current-grade watch lubricants appropriate to each component. Lubricant type and date of application are recorded per service.
No unilateral decisions
If something unexpected is found during a service, we stop and contact you. Nothing is done without your understanding of what it involves.
Written service record
Every watch is returned with a written record of the work done, parts used, and timing results. This is yours to keep as part of the watch's history.
Thai and English
All client communication is handled in Thai and English. We respond to enquiries within one working day and give updates throughout longer services.
