What We Offer

Three tiers of service

Each service is scoped to what your watch actually needs. We explain our findings before proceeding, and nothing is done without your agreement.

Service inspection and clean

Service Inspection & Clean

A clear inspection followed by a light service: cleaning of accessible parts, gentle lubrication, timing adjustment, and a seal review. Everything found is noted plainly so you can decide on any further work with full understanding. A sensible first step for a watch returning to wear; about one to two weeks.

  • Movement cleaning & lubrication
  • Timing regulation
  • Seal inspection & report
  • 1–2 week turnaround

Full mechanical service

Full Mechanical Service

A complete service for mechanical watches that have lost steady timekeeping. The movement is cleaned and re-oiled, the balance and mainspring reviewed and renewed where needed, and timing regulated across positions. Seals are renewed and the crown checked. Suited to daily-wear watches; around three weeks.

  • Multi-position regulation
  • Seal & crown renewal

Collector's restoration

Collector's Restoration

A considered restoration for valued or vintage watches. Beyond a complete overhaul, we attend to the case finish, hands, and crystal, and coordinate any specialist dial work with care to keep the watch true to its era. Each decision is made together with you, and progress is documented. Five to eight weeks.

  • Case, hands & crystal attention
  • Era-appropriate approach

Why Ratana

What sets our approach apart

Work explained plainly

We document our findings and share them with you before any work begins. You stay informed at every stage, and nothing is done without your knowledge.

Vintage and modern alike

Whether your watch is a daily wearer or a piece with collector's significance, we adapt the scope of work to match what it actually requires.

No pressure, no upselling

We recommend only what's needed. If an inspection reveals the watch is in good order, we'll say so — and you'll receive a clear report at no extra charge.

Central Bangkok location

Our workshop is on Convent Road in Silom — accessible by BTS and easy to reach from most parts of the city.

Documented service records

Every service produces a written record of what was done. This supports the long-term care of your watch and can be useful when reselling or insuring a piece.

Unhurried, collaborative process

Especially for restoration work, we take decisions together. If you have preferences about finish or parts, we accommodate them within what the piece allows.

Common Questions

Things people often ask

How do I know which service my watch needs?
If you're unsure, the Service Inspection & Clean is a good starting point. We assess the watch thoroughly and report back before recommending anything further. You're never committed to additional work just because an inspection has begun.
Do you work on all watch brands?
We work on a wide range of mechanical and automatic watches, including vintage and collector's pieces. For some highly complex movements or proprietary complications, we'll be upfront about whether we're the right workshop for the task.
What happens if parts need replacing?
We inform you of any parts that need replacing, the source, and the cost — before ordering anything. For vintage watches, we discuss whether original, period-correct, or equivalent parts are more appropriate for the piece.
How long will the service take?
Timelines are listed with each service: one to two weeks for an inspection, around three weeks for a full mechanical service, and five to eight weeks for collector's restoration. We'll give you a firmer estimate after the initial assessment.
Is pricing fixed or might it change?
Service prices are the base cost for the work described. If additional parts or specialist work are needed, we discuss that with you separately before it affects the total. There are no surprises at collection.
Can I send my watch by post?
We prefer to receive watches in person so we can discuss the piece with you directly. However, if you're based outside Bangkok, please contact us first and we can advise on the safest way to proceed.
